ELITE HUB STANDS

Camber and caster are related and are measured using the camber sensor included in the EHS Electronics Package together with the digital dual-axis angle reader.

Camber values are shown individually for each wheel in the application.

Caster Measuring Formula

Procedure:

1. Turn the wheel 15° to the left of center and record the camber reading.
2. Turn the wheel 15° to the right of center and record the camber reading.
3. Caster = (right reading − left reading) × 2

Example

Left: −1.0°, Right: +0.5° → (0.5 − (−1.0)) × 2 = 3.0° caster

Corner weight is measured using load cells integrated into the electronics package of each hub stand, with all data displayed directly on a phone or tablet.

The measurements are independent of the position of the base leveling plates, as the system reads the load directly through the hub stands and compensates for temperature variations, ensuring high accuracy.

The software displays individual corner weights, cross weight and axle weights, and also allows the use of wheel weights instead of hub stand weights.

User calibration is available when matching scrutineering requirements is necessary.

Ride height is measured using two tools included in the kit: a laser leveling tool with stand and a measuring tape.

After the hub stand base plates are leveled, the laser leveling tool is lowered by 10 millimeters on its stand, and the measurement is taken from the vehicle floor.

The laser line projected onto the measuring tape indicates the ride height value.

Toe measurement is performed using the Elite Laser Alignment System, which is designed for fast and accurate setup.

Once the vehicle is positioned on the hub stands, the track-width bar is attached to both laser modules and locked to maintain a fixed length, then the system is centered on the hub stands and the laser modules are secured in place.

Without unlocking the track-width bar, the system is moved to the opposite axle and the process is repeated.

After setup, the laser alignment system is activated and measurements are read directly from the laser targets, with toe values calculated in the EHS software in the preferred units (mm per wheel or degrees).

All setup data can be exported in PDF or XML format for documentation and analysis.

Suspension adjustments are easily accessible with the vehicle positioned on hub stands, as the wheels are removed and do not obstruct access.

This allows faster and more precise coilover adjustments as well as accurate suspension geometry setup.

The system can be adapted to suit any application.

Mounting plates are available for: specific 4- and 5-lug PCDs, universal mounting plates covering PCDs from 98 to 130 for all 4- and 5-lug configurations, as well as centerlock mounting plates.

Custom solutions can also be developed to meet specific customer requirements.
