FROM SCAN TO TRACK. 🏁
Another custom part made for our BMW E46 Compact — a 3D-printed air duct designed to bring fresh airflow into the cabin.
Of course, it didn’t start with printing. 👀
First, we 3D scanned the area, then designed and tested different versions until we found the one that fits and works exactly as we wanted.
The final version is printed from **PA-GF — glass fibre reinforced polyamide**, chosen for its strength and heat resistance.
And yes, we tested it where it actually matters — **on track**. 🔥

Version2 of the E46 duct.
Two changes: the LED now sits behind a plastic lens, and the housing is made from a stronger plastic.
About that lens — it keeps stones and brake dust off the LED. It is not a sealed unit. The housing is made from two parts, and in the rain water will find its way in. That`s fine for what this part is, and we`d rather tell you than let you find out.
Everything else stays: fresh air straight to the brakes, the light built into the same housing, no extra brackets, all of it behind the bumper. ⚙️
Two ways to get it: buy the part from us, or buy the 3D print file and print it yourself. Same geometry, your printer, your material. 👀

Rear halfshaft spacer. We made this one ourselves. 🔩
We widened the rear track on our E46 Compact. Track goes out, the halfshaft stays the same length — so the inner plunging joint ends up sitting at the far end of its axial travel. Fully extended, no reserve left. Every bit of suspension travel after that is the joint fighting you instead of working.
The fix isn`t a longer shaft. It`s putting the shaft back where it wants to be.
The spacer sits between the diff output flange and the inner joint. It pushes the assembly outboard by the same amount the track moved, and the plunge joint drops back into the middle of its working range. Where it was designed to live.
CNC-machined from solid billet aluminium. In-house, in Lithuania. Made for this car, this shaft — not a universal disc with holes drilled in it.
And that`s the thing: we made it for ourselves. One car, one problem. No production run planned.
