BMW 188 DIFFERENTIAL DRIVESHAFT SPACERS 5MM – 2 PIECES

The BMW 188 Differential Driveshaft Spacers by NP Parts & Engineering are designed to provide an additional 5 mm of spacing between the differential output flanges and driveshafts.

These spacers are intended for BMW builds where drivetrain, differential, suspension, or driveshaft modifications require additional driveshaft spacing for correct fitment.

The set includes 2 pieces – one spacer for each side of the differential.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Designed for BMW 188 differentials – suitable for BMW applications using the 188 differential and compatible output flange configuration.
  • 5 mm thickness – provides an additional 5 mm of driveshaft spacing on each side.
  • Sold as a pair – includes two spacers for the left and right differential output flanges.
  • Useful for modified drivetrains – ideal for builds where differential, driveshaft, axle, or suspension changes affect the original driveshaft position.
  • Simple installation – installs between the differential output flange and driveshaft flange.
  • Motorsport and performance use – suitable for race, drift, rally, track, and custom BMW builds.

APPLICATIONS

The BMW 188 Differential Driveshaft Spacers are suitable for:

  • BMW 188 differential conversions
  • Custom differential installations
  • Modified rear suspension setups
  • Driveshaft and axle conversions
  • Drift cars
  • Rally cars
  • Circuit and endurance race cars
  • Track and performance BMW builds

Why Use BMW 188 Differential Driveshaft Spacers

When a differential is swapped or a rear suspension is modified, the driveshafts can end up too short or sitting at the wrong angle. BMW 188 Differential Driveshaft Spacers correct this simply, without custom shafts.

  • Exact 5 mm spacing on each side of the diff.
  • Pair included – left and right spacers in one order.
  • Bolt-in solution – fits between the output flange and the driveshaft flange.

Fitting BMW 188 Differential Driveshaft Spacers

Clean both flange faces, fit the spacer, and use bolts of the correct length for the extra 5 mm. Torque the bolts to the manufacturer’s specification and recheck them after the first drive. If you are unsure whether you need BMW 188 Differential Driveshaft Spacers, measure the driveshaft engagement with the suspension at ride height. For background on how a diff works, see this article on the differential.
