NP Air Jack Safety Stands are CNC-machined aluminium support stands that hold a race car securely once it has been lifted on pneumatic air jacks. After the car is up, each stand slides over an air jack and takes the load mechanically, so the crew can work under and around the car without depending on air pressure alone.

The €305 price (excl. VAT) is for one single air jack safety stand. A car with three or four air jacks needs one stand per jack, so set the quantity to match your car, or choose your car model in the options and the extra stands are added to the price automatically.

Air Jack Safety Stands Pricing: €305 Per Single Stand
To keep it simple: €305 buys one stand. It is the price of a single unit, not a kit of three or four. Every air jack on the car needs its own stand, so the total depends on how many jacks your car has.

How Many Air Jack Safety Stands Do You Need?
Most GT and touring cars run either three or four air jacks. Use one stand per jack:
- 3-jack cars (one front, two rear, or the reverse) – order 3 stands.
- 4-jack cars (one at each corner) – order 4 stands.
- Spare stands – many teams keep one extra in the pit box so a set is always complete.

Materials & Construction
The body of each stand is machined from solid 6082-T6 aluminium, an alloy chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and its resistance to fatigue. The air jack safety stands are then hard anodized to protect the surface against knocks, abrasion and corrosion.
Where the stand meets the air jack, an Ertalon (Nylon 6) sleeve does two jobs. It centres the stand precisely so it sits square under load, and it stops aluminium from touching the jack body. The result is a quiet, smooth fit that protects your jacks.

Each manufacturer uses a different body diameter and cylinder design. Krontec offers several sizes (LL-22, LL-24 and LL-32), so check the model on the jack itself or in your car’s documentation. AP Racing, Bilstein, JLS, Kema and Nuke jacks each have their own matching design.
Stroke length
The stroke is how far the jack piston extends when it is fully lifted. Our ready-made stands are available for strokes from 150 mm to 300 mm in 10 mm steps. Choosing the correct stroke means the stand fits snugly when the jack is fully extended, so the car does not drop when the air is released.
Ground clearance
For custom orders, the ride height of your car tells us how much room there is under the floor. Send us your ground clearance with your order and we will design the air jack safety stands to suit.
Ordering by car model
If your car is listed under By Car model, you do not need to measure anything. We already know the jack layout, model and stroke for those cars, and the option adds the right number of stands to your order.
Using Air Jack Safety Stands in the Pit Lane
A good routine keeps the crew safe and the stop quick. Most teams follow a sequence like this:
- Lift the car on the air jacks in the usual way.
- Fit the stands over each air jack, using the handle to place them without reaching under the car.
- Check the fit: each stand should sit square on its jack, with the Ertalon sleeve fully engaged.
- Release the air slightly if your procedure calls for it, so the car settles onto the stands.
- Work on the car: it is now held mechanically and does not depend on air pressure.
- Lift again on air, remove the stands and lower the car.
Practise the sequence in the garage before the event. With a little repetition, fitting air jack safety stands adds only a few seconds to a stop, and those seconds buy real protection for the people working on the car.
Care & Maintenance
Air jack safety stands need very little attention, but a quick check at each event keeps them in perfect condition.
- Inspect before use: look for cracks, deep gouges or bent sections. A damaged stand should be taken out of service and replaced.
- Check the sleeve: the Ertalon sleeve is a wear part. If it becomes loose, split or heavily worn, contact us for a replacement.
- Keep them clean: wipe off dirt, rubber pick-up and brake dust so the stands seat cleanly on the jacks.
- Store them dry: the anodized finish resists corrosion, but storing the stands dry and together in the pit box makes them last longer and keeps a set complete.
- Do not modify: drilling, cutting or welding a stand can weaken it. If you need a different size, ask us for a custom version.
